Petorius (10 out of 10 ) In "American Screenwriters," Cameron said that he wrote this in 6 weeks, having taken contracts to write this *and* Rambo in 3 months. You may also wish to read the rejected Aliens III script by William Gibson, which would have starred Michael Bien as Hicks if they'd made it. It continues the Aliens mythology in a way that would have brought us something new in Aliens IV--which, unfortunately, didn't happen. Instead, we got 2 more Aliens movies that did nothing to further the story, and I won't even comment on AvP, though those featured my 2 favorite monsters of all time. RIP Stan Wilson.
Penguin (10 out of 10 ) "Check it out!" Excellent movie and excellent script. Watched this movie when I was about 10 and I still love it.
Darth Odious (10 out of 10 ) Without a shadow of a doubt the best sequel ever made! The only one that comes close is Judgement Day.
Kahlil Scruggs (10 out of 10 ) Aliens is the best movie ever made, no matter how many times I watch this movie I never get bored. Instant classic.
Charles (7 out of 10 ) The difference between this Aliens and the original Alien is that Alien is a Horror, this is an Action film. Two completely separate genres, and very well crossed over.
BaSH PR0MPT (10 out of 10 ) You'd think with all the sequels in the franchise they wouldn't have looked back at this and thought hey, you know, the reason the rest have been flops is because they're nothing like this, and people keep taking a chance on us thinking the next one will be Aliens revisited yet we keep letting them down. The franchise wouldn't be in limbo if they stopped screwing around and revisited the survival horror and visceral feel of Aliens in a modern take. I'm not saying copy it, or reimagine it, I'm saying that armed men overpowered by unarmed creatures on derelict space craft or abandoned colonies is an easy way to terrify an audience. In animation circles, be they comics or cartoons, and in games and fiction online the space derelict and whole slow build, attack, holed up praying to survive routine is a regular feature and it's something the audience loves. Yet in film, well, I can only think of this instance, and no one else has had the brain capacity to realise just how well the audience suck this stuff down and love it! You'd think Hollywood in all it's infinite Darwinian wisdom would have done the math and worked out just how much money they can make off such ideas. I mean hell, picture Dead Space, the movie. That's how Aliens 12421 should be. Sadly, I was being ironic given how many there are, but that's probably the actual number it will take until they realise Aliens was the best they've produced so far. Brilliant script, brilliant movie. Whoopi Goldberg was great in it.
Ann (10 out of 10 ) This reads as well as the movie: exciting, can't put it down. Only minor differences from the final screenplay. The final changes were good ones. A great sci-fi horror film. Few can equal it.

jeff adams (10 out of 10 ) Not really a fan of sci-fi-but hey! This movie was TERRIFIC-had me on the edge of the seat. Mealtimes (The late and lamented John Hurt) were never the same again.
